INVENTORY & WAREHOUSE CONTROL FOREMAN

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

A successful candidate will work closely with our tool room personnel and aid in the inventory, organization and distribution of our tools and materials. This person will be responsible for ordering, organizing, distributing and tracking materials and equipment, negotiating pricing, and implementation and management of  an inventory control system that integrates with our accounting software.

 

The position will include tasks not limited to:

  • Provide specialized technical advice and support on all aspects of tools. Including use, storage, pricing, quality assessment, etc.

  • Supervise and plan activities of the tool room facilities ensuring the tool room is a safe environment in line with health, safety and environmental requirements 

    • Implement storage of tools to facilitate highest standards within the department for good housekeeping, health, safety and environmental requirements

    • Ensure all stock items, tool inserts and spares are organized and in good working order

    • Transfer equipment, tools and kits from tool room to sites upon requests.

    • Maintain tool room equipment manuals, processes and operational guidelines

  • Manage and guarantee on-time availability of tools to ensure continuous production and decrease downtime

  • Develop and maintain proposals for new equipment or tools 

  • Maximize the use of all resources, including IT and database maintenance for tracking all tools, implementing a planned schedule of maintenance and repair activity to ensure a computerized log is kept on faults and service history of tools and equipment

  • Ability to operate skid steer, pallet jack and other heavy equipment when necessary

  • Attend various meetings and act upon and communicate instructions

  • Stay up to date on any changes that may affect tool room products or materials and advise others of any impact

 

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Sage 100 Contractor software and accounting software 

  • Excellent time-management skills to ensure all deadlines are met.

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the local demolition and abatement industry. 

  • Experience with heavy equipment.

  • Mechanically inclined with excellent maintenance skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills

  • Driver’s license, clean driver’s abstract and clean criminal record.

  • Safety-minded person to follow Health and Safety guidelines

Schedule

  • Full-time (40+ hours per week)

  • 2-4 weeks of vacation time, dependent on experience

  • $15 to $19 an hour (negotiable based on experience)
